Journal of Environmental Sciences, sponsored jointly by Committee of Environmental Sciences, Research Center for Eco-environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, co-sponsored by Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, Tsinghua University China etc., takes as its main tasks to introduce new research achievements, reporting research developments and advanced experience, strengthening academic exchanges, promoting cooperation in science and technology, and making contributions to the progress in environmental sciences. The journal publishes original research papers on main aspects of environmental sciences, such as environmental chemistry, environmental biology, ecology geoscience and environmental physics. Appropriate subjects include basic and applied research on atmospheric, terrestrial and aquatic environments pollution control and abatement technology, conservation of natural resources, environmental health study and toxicology, environmental quality assessment, environmental standards and criteria. Review articles in selected areas are published from time to time. Announcements of international environmental sciences meetings and other recent information are also included.
