Nurse Education Today promotes scholarship and scholarly writing among educators in nursing, midwifery and health visiting. At the same time the journal acts as an interface between the theory and the practice of nurse education, stimulating change and cross-fertilization of ideas. The Network section of the journal focuses on strategic issues pertinent to education within health care. An international perspective is maintained; the journal has an eminent International Advisory Board, and publishes information and articles on aspects of nurse education in all parts of the world. The editorial perspective also embraces a wide range of disciplines - basic education, higher post-basic and continuing education, distance and open learning, health education and education in specialist clinical areas including psychiatric nursing, midwifery and health visiting.
