The journal publishes original research reports, authoritative reviews, technical developments and commissioned book reviews of studies of the effects produced by low temperatures on a wide variety of scientific and technical processes, or those involving low temperature techniques in the investigation of physical, chemical, biological and ecological problems. CryoLetters is particularly keen to keep a broad view of low temperature science and technology, and therefore welcomes papers which bridge disciplines and may not suit the narrow specialism of other journals. Although the general emphasis is on biological sciences, physical and chemical aspects are published often where they have a particular application in cryobiology. Aspects of temperature acclimation and hibernation are welcome as are scientific studies of supercooling and vitrification. Studies of hibernation and other adaptations to cold climates are clearly within our remit.
